ASD Assessment

Autism spectrum assessments begin with a referral from your GP, which we review to ensure the assessment is appropriate for our clinic. If suitable, we will offer you an appointment time. All assessments are conducted via telehealth with one of our psychiatrists.

Before the appointment, you will be asked to complete several pre-assessment screening tools. These are designed to provide background information about your current experiences and developmental history, and help guide the clinical interview.

During the appointment, your psychiatrist will use structured clinical interviews and gold-standard assessment tools to explore autism-related traits. Following the assessment, a written report is provided to your GP, along with recommendations and guidance for next steps.
